Cate Bauer

Cate’s passion for real estate began at a young age, growing up immersed in the industry and learning from her mother, Carine, a successful agent since 2003. From attending open houses as a child to understanding real estate terms before she could even spell them, Cate was naturally drawn to the business.

Born and raised in Katonah, in Northern Westchester, Cate attended Katonah-Lewisboro Schools, where she met her husband, Matt. She went on to graduate in just three years from the University at Buffalo and wasted no time launching her own real estate career shortly after. In her first year in business, she sold over $25M in properties, quickly earning recognition for her sharp analytical skills and strategic mindset. Since 2022, Cate has been consistently ranked among the Best Real Estate Agents in Westchester by Westchester Magazine. A dedicated student of the industry, Cate has worked closely with one of her key mentors, the former director of coaching at Compass, helping coach and train Compass agents nationwide.

Over the years, she has lived in multiple communities across Westchester, gaining firsthand experience that allows her to expertly guide clients in finding the right town and home. She and her husband own an investment property in Bronxville, which they fully renovated before taking on their next project—their current home in Northern Westchester.

Cate has an in-depth understanding of Westchester’s communities, including commute options, property taxes, pricing, and schools. She expertly guides her clients across the county, ensuring they explore all available options. By leveraging her extensive network of agents, she provides buyers with early access to exclusive listings and maximizes exposure for her sellers' homes.

Cate has a deep passion for interior design and brings this expertise to every property she represents. Whether assisting clients with Compass Concierge, Staging, or full-scale renovations, she has built strong relationships with local contractors, building departments, and vendors to ensure every project is executed seamlessly.

Beyond sales, anyone who knows Cate knows that her clients mean the world to her and she genuinely cares for them and creating as seamless of an experience as possible, treating them like family and going to great lengths to ensure they are well taken care of which is why so much of her business comes from repeat clients and referrals.

Cate and Matt, along with their toy poodle, Greta, reside in Northern Westchester, where they feel most at home. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing Pilates, hosting family and friends, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
