Welcome to Katonah-Lewisboro
Set in the beautiful county of Westchester, New York, and bounded between the Hudson River to the west and the Long Island Sound to the East, the small hamlet of Katonah and the quaint town of Lewisboro both fall within the New York Metropolitan Area and have access to stunning natural scenery.
Though unincorporated, Katonah is a census-designated place located in the town of Bedford, with a population of just over 1,600. The hamlet was named after the American Indian from whom the land was purchased and includes two National Historic Landmarks. Lewisboro —originally known as Salem, then South Salem—was named after a prominent financier at the time who established a fund for the town.
Both communities consist of mostly residential areas surrounded by gently sloping hills and incredible landscapes. With seven lakes in the town of Lewisboro alone, you’ll find plenty of lakefront properties to choose from, often featuring sweeping Colonial architecture and large acreages. Stately mansions tucked into forested groves, contemporary single-family homes, elegant and cozy brick houses—all of this and more are available in these areas’ charismatic residential neighborhoods.
